Working hours: 38 hours/week | 7.6 hours/day
Pay Rate: $469 - $955 per day + Super (depending on experience)
The NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of digital solutions across the department. Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams, this role analyses business needs, defines requirements and helps ensure delivered solutions align with strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Document functional and technical requirements
- Develop user stories and support backlog management
- Ensure traceability between business requirements and delivered solutions
- Support testing and validation activities to confirm requirements are met
Essential Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years' experience in business analysis, ideally within digital delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Experience documenting requirements in Agile delivery environments
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with relational database and client-server concepts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities and translate complex business needs into transparent technical requirements
