My client is a business transitioning from Focus3 to IBM Maximo as its enterprise asset management platform, with reporting moving into a future-state setting on Microsoft Fabric .
So, we’re looking for a strong Reporting Business Analyst who can get close to end users, validate what reporting is genuinely used day-to-day, and translate that into clear requirements the program can build from.
Location / cadence
- Geelong
- 2 days onsite per week (hybrid otherwise)
What you’ll be doing
- Engage with business users to confirm which Focus3 reports are actively used (around ~12 key reports identified, to be validated)
- Understand how each report is used and what decisions/processes it supports
- Analyse the underlying datasets and source data driving the reports in Focus3
- Document reporting requirements clearly and provide them to the program team to support the move to the new reporting environment (Microsoft Fabric)
- (Nice to have) Support/advise on recreating reports/visualisations in Power BI
What we’re looking for
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills (the core of the role)
- Experience eliciting and documenting reporting requirements and data dependencies
- Comfortable working with data at the “where does this number come from?” level
- Exposure to asset management / utilities environments is a plus
- Power BI experience is desirable, but not essential
