Role Description This part-time Business Analyst (Entry / Junior) role is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a combination of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. The role involves supporting business analysis activities such as gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping business processes, and assisting in the development of solutions to improve operational efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing data to generate insights, preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders, and supporting project teams with documentation, coordination, and follow-up.

The Business

Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and help ensure that analytical findings are communicated clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, and assisting with the integration of business analysis into broader program objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose evidence-based recommendations.




- Foundational experience or training in business analysis, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and solution evaluation.
- Ability to understand and document business processes, workflows, and use cases to support continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to elicit, document, and manage business requirements in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Business, Economics, Public Health, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets) and familiarity with reporting or visualization tools is an asset.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment.
- Interest in health systems, population health, or development sectors, especially in low- and middle-income country contexts.
