The role of Business and Economic Development Officer is pivotal in advancing key initiatives outlined in Council's Economic Development Strategy and associated action plans.
This position will see you engaging with local businesses, identifying their needs, and coordinating initiatives that promote economic growth and support educational and training pathways.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and add value for the community.
Applicant Profile To be successful in this role, you will have:
- a degree qualification in Business, Economics, Commerce, Project Management, or other relevant field and/or extensive relevant and contemporary experience combined with ongoing professional development
- a current Class C Drivers Licence
- demonstrated experience working with business and industry to facilitate business growth and development
- strong project management skills with the ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently, on time and within budget
- a detailed understanding of grant application and administration processes
- proven relationship management, advocacy, influencing, negotiation skills,
in particular working with government agencies and industry groups and representatives
- experience in complex problem solving and highly proficient in research and analysis, and associated report writing and business recommendations.
Offer Details The commencing salary for this position is up to $100.5k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $116.5k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
- We have a permanent full-time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and adaptable working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
