Business Development Manager – Construction & Logistics

Drive2Deliver is seeking a commercially focused, proactive and relationship-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Canberra team and support the continued growth of our construction materials, transport and logistics operations across Canberra and the ACT.

Drive2Deliver, operated by Drive2Ride Pty Ltd, is a technology-enabled construction logistics and materials platform connecting builders, contractors, developers, trades, suppliers and project teams with construction materials, suitable delivery vehicles, drivers and coordinated logistics solutions.

We are looking for a strong business-development professional who can identify new commercial opportunities, build industry relationships, develop strategic partnerships, acquire new customers and suppliers, and contribute directly to sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Canberra and the ACT.
- Generate, qualify and follow up recent commercial leads.
- Acquire new builders, contractors, developers, trades and organisational customers.
- Establish and grow relationships with construction-material suppliers, wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors.
- Develop commercial partnerships with construction, civil, demolition, infrastructure and property-development businesses.
- Build relationships with project managers, procurement teams, government stakeholders and commercial organisations.
- Develop supplier partnerships and support suitable suppliers to join and engage with the Drive2Deliver platform.
- Promote Drive2Deliver's construction-material procurement and transport solutions.
- Identify opportunities for both materials purchasing with delivery and truck-only delivery services .
- Arrange and conduct face-to-face and online meetings with prospective customers, suppliers and partners.
- Deliver qualified presentations explaining Drive2Deliver's platform, services and business capabilities.
- Develop commercial accounts with organisations requiring regular or high-volume transport and delivery services.
- Prepare and follow up business proposals, quotations and commercial opportunities.
- Develop referral relationships and strategic business partnerships.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and actively manage the business-development pipeline.
- Follow up prospective customers and partners in a timely and professional manner.
- Support onboarding and relationship management for new customers and suppliers.
- Maintain and grow existing business accounts.
- Work closely with management, operations and marketing teams on customer-acquisition and business-growth initiatives.




- Attend construction-industry events, networking functions, supplier meetings, business events and relevant stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor market developments, customer requirements and emerging commercial opportunities.
- Provide regular pipeline reports, sales forecasts and business-development updates to management.
- Contribute to customer retention, account growth and overall revenue development.

About You We are seeking a confident and commercially minded professional who enjoys developing relationships, opening new accounts and representing a growing business in the market.

You will ideally have experience in:

- Business development
- B2B sales
- Account management
- Commercial partnerships
- Construction-industry sales
- Transport and logistics
- Building materials
- Supplier relationship management
- Procurement
- Technology or marketplace sales

Previous experience within the construction, building materials, civil, demolition, infrastructure, transport or logistics sectors will be highly regarded. Skills & Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, partnerships, account management or a related commercial role.
- Experience within construction, logistics, transport or building materials is desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, management, construction, logistics or a related discipline are desirable but not essential where relevant professional experience can be demonstrated.
- Current Australian working rights.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Ability to travel throughout Canberra and the ACT for customer, supplier, project and stakeholder meetings.

Base Salary: AUD $70k–$80k gross per annum

Superannuation: 12% employer contribution paid in addition to the base salary
