- Remuneration: $95,981 to $108,257 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $81,105 to $91,478 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
- Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join QUT College, Education Portfolio, Academic Division. The Business Support Officer provides effective administrative and financial support within QUT College. The role contributes to the smooth operation of procurement, financial processing and office administration in line with established university policies and procedures. Working under general direction, the position liaises with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate financial transactions, maintain records, coordinate asset management activities, and support the operational needs of the Directorate and broader College teams.

The Business Support

Officer collaborates closely with staff in the Director’s Office, the Study Tours Team, the Administration Team, teaching staff, and colleagues in the Division of Finance and Resource Planning. The position reports to the Director, QUT College, for supervision, workload management, and Career Planning, Development and Performance Expectations.

What You Need To Succeed

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree.
- Proven experience delivering high quality, client centred support to diverse cohorts while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and appropriately to varied audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines while completing high volume tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well developed digital literacy, with proficient use of Microsoft Office, organisation specific systems and QUT finance platforms (e.g. Oracle) to process invoices, raise purchase orders and maintain accurate financial records.
- Effective organisational, analytical and problem solving capability, with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks with sound judgement.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
