Are you a detail-driven finance and administration professional looking for a role where no two days are the same?
Crisden
Care is looking for a Business Support Administrator to join our team, supporting the financial, compliance, and workforce functions that keep our home care services running smoothly. This role is primarily home-based, with attendance required at meetings and planning days as needed. Whilst not required frequently, willingness to travel to locations in Greater Brisbane and / or the Gold Coast is required, dependent upon meeting locations.
About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of our operations. You'll manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare and reconcile our Support at Home claim, oversee the onboarding and compliance of Associated Providers and contractors, process payroll, and provide broader workforce administration support. You'll work closely with our Care Partners and Managing Director to keep our financial and administrative processes accurate, timely, and compliant.
This role starts at approximately 30 hours per week across 5 days, with scope to grow into a full time position as our organisation's needs increase. It's a primarily remote role, with attendance at team meetings and planning days required from time to time.
What you'll be doing
- Processing supplier, provider, and client contribution invoices, matching invoices to purchase/service orders, and resolving supplier and customer queries
- Preparing and reconciling the Support at Home claim, and liaising with Services Australia on claim queries, rejections, and payment discrepancies
- Managing client contribution invoicing and follow-up, including setting up payment plans for clients experiencing financial difficulty
- Sourcing, onboarding, and monitoring the ongoing compliance of Associated Providers and contractors, including service agreements and compliance registers
- Processing payroll end-to-end,
including timesheet reconciliation, superannuation, FBT, and monitoring award changes
- Providing workforce administration support, including managing the HRIS, delivering a positive onboarding experience for new staff, and coordinating training and development
- Supporting internal and external audits, government pricing transparency requirements, and quality documentation
- Contributing to financial reporting, budget monitoring, and the ongoing improvement of finance and administration processes
What we're looking for
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent finance qualification
- Proven experience in an administrative or finance support role, ideally covering accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Payroll processing experience, including timesheets, superannuation, and award interpretation (desirable)
- Experience in aged care, home care, community services, or the disability (NDIS) sector is desirable, but not essential
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word), accounting software (e.g. Xero), and comfort learning new systems (e.g. HRIS, client management systems)
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in financial and administrative work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confident, empathetic conversations with clients regarding billing or payment matters
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive client, financial, and workforce information
- A high level of professionalism and a customer-service orientation
What we offer This is a part-time role, offering approximately 30 hours per week across 5 days at a salary of up to $80,000 pro rata per annum plus superannuation, with scope to grow into a full-time position as our needs increase. The role is primarily remote, with attendance at meetings and planning days required from time to time.
