Primary objective

Provide comprehensive executive, administrative and coordination support to the Executive Director by managing division workflows,

governance, reporting, communication and operational activities. Coordinate and monitor division activities, deliverables and key actions,

while facilitating collaboration within the AHEW team. Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the divisions administrative, operational, reporting and human resource functions.

Provide high level information and advice to the Executive Director to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the division administrative, operational, reporting and human resource functions.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Prepare timely personnel, project and priority reports to assist in informed and effective decision-making.
2. Coordinate and deliver business support, advice and services including HR, recruitment and staff travel.
3. Prepare data and information for the Executive Director to enable reporting against performance indicators, annual reports, ministerial

correspondence, estimates briefs, Legislative Assembly briefings and other ad-hoc reports and briefings as required.
- Coordinate the development, implementation and financial reporting requirements of the divisions business plan, projects and priorities.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders within and external to government.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on assigned action items.
- Ensure compliance with organisational and industry standards, legisltation and codes of conduct.
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, secure services and workplaces

Selection criteria

Essential

1.



Extensive knowledge and relevant experience in the development, monitoring and management of work units priorities and reporting

requirements.
- Proven ability to effectively and accurately interpret, apply and promote human resource legislation, principles and practices.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in report generation techniques, report formatting, spreadsheet compilation and analysis using the Microsoft suite of products.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and provide a professional client focused service.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as ability and experience managing a complex and demanding workload.

Desirable

1. Experience with NT Public Sector systems including Content Records Manager, Travel Request Information Processing System,

Electronic Credit Management System and Electronic Invoice Management System.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant financial, procurement and human resource legislation including Financial

Management Act, Public Sector Employment Act, Procurement Regulations and Information Act.
