Director:

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Centre Director to lead the opening of our brand new, purpose-built service at Wyee.

This is a founding leadership opportunity where you will play a key role in building the team, shaping the culture and establishing a high-quality service from day one. You’ll be supported by an experienced Area Manager, hands-on owners and dedicated corporate support functions across operations, people, finance, marketing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards across quality, compliance, and performance.

- Build, lead, and develop a strong team of educators, including the Assistant Director and Educational Leader
- Oversee staffing, rosters, and ratio compliance
- Drive occupancy, enrolments, and family engagement
- Maintain compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Support high-quality educational programs aligned to EYLF and the NQS
- Build strong relationships with families and the local community

About You

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within early childhood education
- ACECQA approved qualification (Diploma or Bachelor)
- Strong working knowledge of NQF, EYLF, and compliance requirements
- Confident leading teams, making decisions, and driving accountability
- Passionate about delivering high-quality early childhood education

Lead the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards across quality, compliance, and performance.

Assistant Director:

We are seeking a capable, motivated and experienced Assistant Director to support the Service Director in the successful opening and ongoing operation of our recent Wyee service. This is a genuine second-in-charge leadership role,



sharing responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service and helping to establish a strong, positive and collaborative team culture from day one.

Working closely with the Service Director, the Assistant Director will provide visible leadership, support educators to deliver high-quality care and education, and contribute to effective staffing, compliance, health and safety, family relationships and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Service Director across daily operations, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance standards are met
- Step into the Director's responsibilities in their absence
- Support rostering, ratio compliance, and day-to-day staff supervision
- Help build and mentor a strong team of educators
- Oversee enrolments, orientations, and family communication
- Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and ongoing compliance with the National Law and Regulations
- Support delivery of educational programs aligned to EYLF and the NQS
- Build positive, trusted relationships with families and the local community

About You

- Experience in a 2IC or similar leadership role, or an experienced Room Leader or early childhood professional ready to take the next step into a formal leadership position
- ACECQA approved qualification (Diploma or Bachelor)
- Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF, and compliance requirements
- A team player who is ready to step up and lead when needed
- Passionate about delivering high-quality early childhood education

Educational Leader: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to drive curriculum quality and pedagogical practice at our new Wyee service. This is an influential role in establishing Best Start’s educational approach from day one and supporting positive outcomes for children and families.

Working closely with the Service Director and Assistant Director,



the Educational Leader will build the capacity of educators across all six rooms through collaboration, inquiry, reflection and professional learning. The role will inspire, motivate, affirm, challenge and extend educators’ practice, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared professional learning.

The Educational Leader will work collaboratively with educators and leadership teams across our growing network to share knowledge, strengthen practice and promote consistency in our approach. The role will ensure curriculum and pedagogy are purposeful, reflective and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS), while remaining responsive to the individual needs, interests, strengths and learning of each child.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of educational programs across all rooms, aligned to EYLF and the NQS
- Mentor, coach, and build the capability of educators in curriculum planning and reflective practice
- Lead pedagogical documentation, cycles of planning, and children's learning outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement in Quality Area 1 (Educational program and practice) as part of the QIP
- Support educators to embed the Best Start educational philosophy and approach
- Partner with families to support each child's individual learning and development
- Stay current on best practice, research, and sector developments in early childhood education

About You

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Educational Leader or senior pedagogical role within early childhood education
- ACECQA approved qualification (Diploma or Bachelor); relevant tertiary qualification highly regarded
- Strong working knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and the National Quality Framework
- A genuine passion for mentoring educators and lifting educational program quality
- Confident, collaborative, and reflective in practice
