About OZair Pty Ltd
OZair Pty Ltd is a Western Australian business specialising in industrial air compressors and associated equipment. Based in Malaga, the company supplies, services and installs industrial compressed-air equipment and associated systems for customers throughout Perth and regional Western Australia.
OZair Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and overall management of the organisation.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for determining and implementing the organisation's strategic direction, overseeing business performance and operations, managing financial and human resources, and ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic direction, leadership and management of OZair Pty Ltd in accordance with objectives established by the Board of Directors.
- Develop, implement and regularly review the company's business strategies, policies, objectives and operational programs.
- Lead the organisation's commercial, operational and financial performance to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Ensure appropriate allocation and management of financial, human and operational resources.
- Establish and maintain effective governance, risk-management and compliance frameworks.
- Monitor organisational performance against approved strategic objectives, budgets and operational targets.
- Lead and develop the senior management team and maintain clear accountability across all areas of the business.
- Identify new commercial opportunities, markets, products and strategic partnerships relevant to the industrial compressed-air sector.
- Represent OZair Pty Ltd in negotiations and dealings with key customers, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and other stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with the Board and provide timely and accurate information regarding company performance, risks and strategic priorities.
Tasks
- Determine organisational objectives, strategies, policies and programs.
- Provide overall direction and management across the organisation.
- Authorise the allocation of material, human and financial resources required to implement organisational policies and programs.
- Review financial and operational results and evaluate company performance against agreed objectives and strategies.
- Consult with senior management and review recommendations, operational reports and performance information.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of business plans, management reports, budgets, financial forecasts and strategic recommendations for presentation to the Board.
- Direct sales, service, supply, installation and supporting business operations at an executive level.
- Oversee commercial relationships with major customers, suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
- Review market conditions and identify opportunities for business development, expansion and improved operational performance.
- Select or approve the appointment of senior employees and establish appropriate management structures and performance expectations.
- Represent the company in major commercial negotiations, industry meetings and other relevant business forums.
- Ensure the organisation complies with applicable company laws, workplace requirements and other relevant legislation and regulatory obligations.
- Manage significant commercial, operational and organisational risks.
- Promote a strong organisational culture focused on safety, customer service, accountability and sustainable business performance.
Qualifications
Applicants should have
- A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Engineering or another relevant discipline; or
- At least five years of relevant senior executive or management experience demonstrating an equivalent level of skill and competence.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications, including an MBA or other postgraduate management qualification, will be highly regarded.

Experience The successful candidate will have:
- Significant senior leadership, executive management or general management experience.
- Experience in an industrial equipment, engineering services, machinery, compressed-air systems, technical services, distribution or similar business-to-business setting, highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience managing the overall performance of a business or substantial business division.
- Proven experience developing and implementing organisational strategies, policies and operational plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial forecasts, profitability and business performance.
- Experience overseeing sales, service, operations and administrative functions.
- Experience managing and developing senior employees and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience in major commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers or business partners.
- Experience reporting to and working closely with a Board of Directors or business owners.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing business-growth and operational-improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing commercial, operational and organisational risks.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective governance and compliance processes.
- Experience representing an organisation with key customers, suppliers, industry stakeholders and other external parties.
- Experience within industrial compressed-air equipment, industrial machinery or technical service operations will be highly regarded.
SALARY: $190,000 TO $200,000 PER ANNUM
