CHEM CONCRETE™ is looking for a Civil Engineering Laboratory Technician to join our team in Seven Hills, NSW. This is a full-time, permanent position involving a combination of laboratory, site and technical work within the concrete and construction materials sector. ? Key Responsibilities • Conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, grout, mortar, admixtures, and other construction materials in accordance with Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Collect, prepare, cure and test samples and specimens and maintain accurate testing records.
- Analyse and interpret test data relating to slump, air content, concrete strength, durability, permeability, and material performance.
- Assist engineers with concrete mix design evaluation, admixture performance and construction material compliance.
- Perform site sampling, field testing and inspections.
- Perform sampling, quality control (QC) and testing on the manufactured concrete admixtures.
- Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Prepare test reports, technical summaries and compliance documentation.
- Support technical investigations, quality assurance and R&D; activities. ? Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Australian or overseas experience.
- Relevant experience as a Civil Engineering Technician, particularly in concrete, construction materials or laboratory testing, is highly regarded.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical and laboratory records.
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or applicant with full Australian work rights
