About our client
AWX is partnering with an established, solutions-driven civil construction company delivering specialist construction, engineering and geotechnical services. Our client provides comprehensive project support from concept and design through to construction. Their experienced team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, cost-effective projects on time.
The project is located near Forsayth in the Etheridge Shire, approximately 400 kilometres southwest of Cairns in Queensland's Gulf Savannah region.
Available Roles
We are seeking experienced operators for the following equipment:
- 30-tonne Excavator
- 3-tonne Skid Steer
- 12-tonne Loader
- All-Round Civil Plant Operator
Roster
- Three-week project with the 13th day off, 12-hour shifts
- Immediate start on a short-term dam project
- DIDO from Cairns to the Forsayth region
- Paid travel time and fuel allowance
- Camp accommodation and meals provided
What you'll do
- Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers and other civil plant
- Complete bulk earthworks, site preparation and laydown works
- Assist with civil drainage and general dam construction activities
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements
- Work effectively as part of a safety-focused project team
What you'll need
- Construction White Card
- Relevant RII competencies and plant tickets
- Demonstrated civil construction or bulk earthworks experience
- A minimum of two years' consistent excavator experience for Excavator Operator positions
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the project duration
- Physically fit and prepared for outdoor, hands-on work
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
