Appoint Recruit is partnering with an established, family-owned civil contractor looking to bring its surveying capability permanently in-house.
This is an chance for an experienced Surveyor to take ownership of end-to-end survey delivery across a varied portfolio of civil and energy infrastructure projects throughout the Surat Basin, Darling Downs and regional Queensland.
Working directly with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors, you will manage survey control, construction set-out, verification and final as-builts, while helping establish the systems and processes that support the function long term.
The project portfolio includes BESS, solar, substations, earthworks, roads, drainage, concrete structures and broader civil infrastructure.
The opportunity offers:
- Choice of a permanent 5/2 or 9/5 DIDO roster, providing consistency and regular time at home
- Remuneration aligned with capability, reaching $200,000 for a senior Surveyor able to independently own the function
- A company vehicle, modern surveying equipment, onsite accommodation and meals, plus a $50 tax-free daily allowance
- Long-term stability with an established contractor delivering a strong pipeline of regional work
- Genuine autonomy, direct access to project leadership and the longer-term opportunity to build and lead an internal surveying team
Formal registration is not required. The business is focused on proven civil construction surveying capability, sound technical judgement and the ability to confidently manage field-to-finish requirements with minimal supervision. This could suit an experienced Civil, Construction, Engineering or Project Surveyor, or a capable Surveying Technician ready to step into greater ownership
