In this role, you’ll lead and coordinate cleaning operations across multiple sites throughout the Upper Hunter North region, including Scone, Aberdeen, and Murrurundi.

You’ll play an important role in ensuring safe, clean and well-maintained environments for students, staff and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities: Oversee daily cleaning operations in line with departmental policies and standards Act as a key contact for operational needs, concerns and service requirements

Ensure high-quality cleaning, hygiene and safety stands across all sites Support the delivery of cleaning programs and scheduled works

About you You’re a practical, people-focused leader who takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality outcomes. You’re confident working across multiple site, managing competing priorities and supporting teams to get the job done. You’ll bring: Experience in cleaning, facilities or similar operational environment, with a strong understanding of safety, compliance and service standards

Experience supervising cleaning operations and coordinating day-to-day operations to deliver consistent, high-quality service

Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders The ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing demands across multiple sites.

A practical, solutions-focused approach and ability to confidently respond to operational challenges





Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role A current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment A current and valid driver’s licence

Flexibility to travel and work across a range of sites within the region

Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with the flexibility to work morning, afternoon and night shifts as required, as well as participate in on call and/or afterhours duties as required.

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
