Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026. Fixed term position until June 2027

The Department Melbourne Sexual Health

Centre (MSHC), a specialised unit for the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, (STIs), is located in Carlton. It is part of the Medical Specialties Directorate of Alfred Health. It has an established reputation for clinical excellence and innovation through its research.

MSHC provides screening, testing, counselling, information, referral,



health education and clinical management of STIs including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. It is reputed as a global leader in sexual health with ongoing active focus on post-graduate training and education, clinical consultancy and research. The staff of approximately 100 includes Infrastructure support, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Researchers and post graduate students.

The Role A Client Service Officer at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre provides a full range of administrative services to support the clinical team and the clients attending for care.

The Client

Services role encompasses reception, appointments, switchboard, COVID Entry Point Screening, data entry, medical records management, client communication, billing and providing administrative support to clinical and research staff within the Centre.

The Administration

Team hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Skills And Experience Required Demonstrated successful face to face client/patient/customer service experience

Prior successful experience in providing reception and administrative support functions in a health care setting

Demonstrated data entry accuracy
