Clinical Research Associate II (full-time) – Melbourne

Mobius Medical, a leading full-service contract research organisation managing clinical trials in Australia, New Zealand and USA, is growing and seeking an exceptional Clinical Research Professional based out of our Melbourne office. The role will be full-time, office based with plenty of flexibility. Mobius has been and is rapidly expanding our services and team and there’s no better time to join us!

Mobius enjoys assisting a rich portfolio of global and local clients working on a vast array of therapeutic goods including medical devices, pharma and IVD, across all phases. We support our partners through the entire clinical project journey, including expeditious clinical trials start-up, monitoring, data management and in-house EDC.

Job Purpose

You will support a clinical team, by setting up, managing and monitoring sites for an array of clinical trials, ensuring projects are run on time and within budget. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the clinical research in a monitoring role, preferably at a CRO or industry. You can easily illustrate a thorough understanding of the therapeutic product lifecycle, hold an appreciation of key stakeholders such sponsors, site staff, third parties, your Mobius colleagues and possess a thorough knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand regulatory environments.

Main tasks

- General clinical trials management tasks from start-up through monitoring and close out
- Collaborate with Management to establish your portfolio of projects and responsibilities




- Ensure projects are set up and being completed in accordance with all SOPs and study plans
- Build and maintain rapport with key customers while assessing customer needs and identifying recent opportunities
- Assist with budgets, timekeeping and billing
- Troubleshoot and find compliant solutions to issues
- Participate in regular project meetings and manage minutes and status reporting to

- Continuously increase knowledge of clinical trials industry and ANZ region, by participating in training or other educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks

Role requirements

- Permanent resident of Australia
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in life science or related field.
- High proficiency in verbal and written English language.
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical research role monitoring clincial trials
- Autonomous, motivated and passionate about bringing new therapeutic goods to those who need them
- Ability to work in a team
- Solution/goal oriented
- Trustworthy timekeeper and diligent maintenance of records
- Excellent communicator (verbal, written and presentation skills)
- Track record of building lasting relationships
- Creative and critical thinking
- High integrity, reliability and thorough in follow-up
