As a Clinical Specialist with Provider Assist, you’ll work autonomously across a diverse range of aged care services while remaining connected to an experienced, supportive team. This is a fly/drive-in, fly/drive-out role involving a mix of metropolitan, regional and interstate placements. It offers the opportunity to broaden your experience across:

About you

You are a Registered Nurse who takes pride in the quality of your work. You are comfortable making sound clinical decisions, asking for support when needed and adapting your approach to different services and environments.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- At least 12 months’ experience in the aged care sector
- At least six months’ experience in a role such as Clinical Coordinator, Quality Coordinator, Clinical Manager, Quality Manager or Facility Manager
- Experience completing resident assessments, developing care plans and applying strong clinical reasoning
- A commitment to secure, evidence-informed and person-centred care
- An interest in becoming highly skilled in the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- The ability to build trust and productive relationships quickly
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong emotional intelligence and professional judgement
- A passion for coaching, mentoring and supporting others to succeed
- Confidence learning and navigating different clinical systems and Microsoft 365
- Resilience, adaptability and a practical approach to solving problems
- A growth mindset and willingness to seek feedback, reflect and continue learning
- The ability and willingness to travel regularly

The role

Your work will vary according to each client’s needs, but a typical engagement may involve:

- Travelling to an aged care service for a short-term placement. Depending on the location, you may stay close to home or travel regionally or interstate,



commonly departing Monday and returning Friday.
- Building strong relationships with clients and understanding their clinical, operational and quality priorities.
- Working independently within an agreed scope, while maintaining regular contact with your Provider Assist team.
- Completing comprehensive resident assessments and using clinical reasoning to identify risks, needs and opportunities to improve care.
- Developing clear, accurate and person-centred clinical documentation and care plans.
- Supporting clinical practice and AN-ACC processes.
- Applying the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards through reviews, audits, education, reporting and quality-improvement activities.
- Coaching and educating team members to build confidence, capability and sustainable practice.
- Contributing to clinical and quality projects.
- Providing short-term support in key clinical roles, with clear responsibilities, boundaries and access to guidance from Provider Assist specialists.
- Identifying and escalating clinical or quality risks appropriately and contributing to practical, sustainable solutions.
