THE OPPORTUNITY

Viva Leisure, parent company to Zoo Fit and one of Australia's leading health and fitness companies, is looking for two enthusiastic and driven leaders to build our brand-current team on a full-time basis in Albany - a Club Manager and an Assistant Club Manager.

Zoo Fit is a current breed of gym - high-value, low-price, and built for the way people actually train. With 24/7 access, premium equipment, expansive functional training zones, wellness and recovery spaces, and a "however you flex, you fit" attitude, Zoo Fit is redefining what members expect from their local gym without the overcomplicated extras.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of the founding leadership team at Zoo Fit Albany, opening its doors this November. You'll be there from the very beginning — setting up the club, building your team from the ground up, and creating the energy and culture that will define the Zoo Fit experience in Albany for years to come. As the face of a brand-new club in a brand-new market, you'll have the chance to build genuine community buzz, turn curious locals into loyal members, and shape a launch that Albany will remember.

As Club Manager, you'll take full ownership of the club's success - from recruiting and developing your team to driving pre-sale momentum, delivering an outstanding member experience, and hitting the ground running on day one. You'll play a key role in bringing Zoo Fit to life in Albany, leading the club's commercial and cultural direction from the ground up.

As Assistant Club Manager, you'll work hand-in-hand with the Club Manager to bring the vision to life on the ground - supporting the team, driving membership growth and retail performance, maintaining a first-class member experience, and stepping up to lead the club when the Club Manager isn't present. It's a hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety, loves being part of the action, and wants to grow their leadership career alongside a brand-new club.

Zoo Fit Albany is estimated to open its doors in November 2026. To allow time for pre-sales, hiring and building your team, and getting the club launch-ready, we're ideally looking for both roles to start in September 2026.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

Club Manager

- Strong knowledge of, and passion for, the fitness industry
- Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within fitness or retail
- Proven people management and team leadership experience
- A results-driven mindset with a track record of hitting sales targets




- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop future leaders
- Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to drive operational excellence
- Ability to manage competing priorities with a proactive, agile approach to change
- A genuine role model for Viva Leisure's values and culture
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Assistant Club Manager

- Strong knowledge of, and passion for, the fitness industry
- Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within fitness or retail
- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience
- A results-driven mindset with a track record of hitting sales targets
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Club Manager

- Lead the launch and day-to-day running of a brand-new Zoo Fit club
- Drive membership growth, retail sales, and PT and Group Fitness performance
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team, and manage rosters and payroll
- Deliver an outstanding member experience and resolve enquiries and complaints
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented club in line with operational standards
- Build local partnerships and drive community engagement to raise the club's profile
- Oversee inventory, maintenance, and day-to-day administration
- Champion Viva Leisure's culture, values, and safety standards as the face of the club

Assistant Club Manager

- Support the Club Manager in leading the team and running daily club operations
- Help drive membership growth, retail sales, and PT and Group Fitness engagement
- Coach and support staff in delivering great service and sales conversations
- Deliver a warm, welcoming experience for members, prospects, and visitors
- Help maintain club presentation, safety, and equipment standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team membersStep up to lead the club and team when the Club Manager isn't on-site
- Get involved in local marketing initiatives to build community connection
