ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing heavy machining team, operating a range of OKUMA CNC machines including LB45, MB-66 and MULTUS.

Our OKUMA machines include:

- OKUMA LB45 – CNC Lathe
- OKUMA MB-66 – CNC Machining Centre
- OKUMA MULTUS – Multitasking CNC Machine

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate OKUMA CNC lathes, machining centres and multitasking machines.
- Machine large and complex heavy engineering components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining requirements.
- Plan machine set-ups, tooling and machining sequences.
- Carry out in-process dimensional inspections.
- Work independently while coordinating with the supervisor and wider machining team.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, machine care and workplace safety.

ABOUT YOU





- Previous CNC lathe and/or machining centre experience is required.
- OKUMA experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with OSP controls would be highly regarded.
- Experience on LB45, MB-66 or MULTUS would be a strong advantage.
- Training on our specific machines will be provided.
- Mastercam experience would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling and cutting parameters.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience setting up and machining large components would be highly regarded.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining and set-up issues.
- Experience across both CNC turning and milling would be a strong advantage.
