We're seeking a reliable, safety‑conscious CNC Machinist to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to work on a variety of conventional and machine centre equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with tight tolerances (G-Code and Conversational)
- Precision manufacturing to tolerances of ±0.01mm is required for all components
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications with accuracy and confidence
- Select appropriate tooling, establish offsets, prove out new jobs, and support efficient production runs
- Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications
- Diagnose and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, chatter, offset discrepancies, surface finish concerns, and dimensional inaccuracies
- Maintain CNC equipment, tooling, and a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve cycle times, product quality, and process repeatability
- Accurately complete job documentation, inspection reports, and production records
- Complete work orders and accurately log time against tasks
- Troubleshoot machining and setup issues; apply strong problem solving and mechanical aptitude
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area and follow all safety procedures
- Be available for overtime as required
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade Certificate: First Class Machining (required)
- 5+ years' experience as a CNC Machinist (Both turning and milling favourable)
- Strong CNC setup and operating capability; programming experience highly regarded
- Experience with Fanuc and Siemens CNC control systems is highly preferred
- Ability to read and manufacture to engineering drawings (Metric & Imperial)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable, safety focused and committed to high quality workmanship
Experience & Licences

- Forklift licence: desirable (please advise if you hold one)
