You’re a real coffee nerd - you’re passionate & completely fascinated by it. You really get into the chemistry of it and love roasting, testing, tasting etc. and can do it all day long.

You're incredibly organised and methodical. You can work through a high volume of samples without compromising quality, and while other people get flustered when things get busy, you simply put your head down, remain calm and work through it.

You’re a great communicator - you give great notes/feedback and always make sure your reports are a high quality that is useful & applicable for others. You genuinely enjoy being in a role & part of a team where your voice/opinion/insights are valued & needed.

You're also someone who enjoys working independently. You don't need constant noise or people around you to stay motivated. In fact, you quite enjoy having your own space where you can focus on producing your best work.

We’re looking for a Coffee Quality Manager for a coffee import client of ours.

You'll become the person responsible for the quality of every coffee that moves through the business. Every day you'll be sample roasting, cupping and evaluating coffees from around the world, providing transparent feedback to both suppliers and the sales team,



and helping determine which coffees ultimately make it into customers' hands.

It's a role where precision matters because the entire business relies on the quality decisions made in the lab. One of the owners said “everyone in the business relies on this role” so its importance to the company cannot be understated.

You'll need experience roasting coffee. Ideally you've worked with sample roasting before, but if you've built solid roasting experience elsewhere and want to take the next step into importing, we'd love to hear from you.

The company itself is one of the few independently owned green coffee importers in Australia. They're a small, collaborative team where you'll work directly with the owners every day. Everyone has their own role, but they also help each other and your work genuinely influences sourcing, sales, marketing and customer outcomes.

The role is full-time, 9am - 5pm and is based in Lane Cove (onsite parking available).
