About the role

National Plumbing and Contracting is seeking experienced Commercial Plumbers and keen Plumbing Apprentices to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Based in Ferntree Gully VIC, this is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse commercial plumbing projects whilst being part of a well-established and respected contracting company. Whether you are an experienced tradesperson looking to advance your career or an apprentice eager to learn the trade, we have immediate positions available for the right candidates.

What We Are Looking For

- Plumbers: Candidates with commercial plumbing experience, who are passionate about delivering quality work in large-scale commercial environments.

- Plumbing Apprentices: We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including mature-aged candidates .

- A robust work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.

- Experience in working on projects such as hospitals, schools, or other commercial sites is highly desirable but not essential.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Hot and Cold Water Systems: Ability to install, maintain, and repair hot and cold water systems.





- Gas Systems: Knowledge of gas plumbing, including installation and maintenance of gas lines.

- Sanitary Systems: Proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining sanitary plumbing systems (e.g., toilets, showers, sinks).

- Below Ground Drainage: Experience with underground plumbing systems, including drainage pipes and sewer systems.

- Experience in roofing systems, such as the installation and maintenance of roof plumbing (gutters, down pipes, etc.).

- Practical experience in commercial plumbing systems, which may include larger-scale plumbing installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in commercial buildings.

Licensing and Certifications:

- A current driver's license for transportation to job sites.

- A Construction Induction White Card, certifying the applicant’s awareness of safety protocols in construction environments.

- Police Checks & Working With Children Cards may be required fro some sites.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Pay based on experience, offering competitive rates commensurate with the applicant's qualifications and experience.

- Rostered Days Off (RDOs), allowing time off as part of the benefits package.

- Overtime pay and hourly rates will be provided as additional compensation.
