Commercial Risk & Governance Manager Shape the future of governance, risk and compliance in a growing energy business LPE is an ASX-listed energy provider delivering embedded network services, electricity, hot water, solar, battery, EV charging and smart metering solutions to residential communities across Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
As LPE continues to expand its footprint and growth strategy we’re seeking an experienced Commercial Risk & Governance Manager to lead and strengthen our governance, risk, compliance and safety frameworks while supporting sustainable business growth.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a highly visible leadership role that works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board Governance, Risk & Compliance Committee to protect and enhance LPE’s license to operate. About the Role
This role serves as LPE’s independent governance, risk and assurance function, ensuring strong compliance, operational integrity and effective risk management across the business.
You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, strengthening governance frameworks and driving continuous improvement across a dynamic and growing organisation. Key Responsibilities
Lead LPE’s governance, risk, compliance and safety frameworks.
Ensure regulatory compliance and manage key industry stakeholder relationships.
Maintain enterprise risk management processes and governance reporting.
Drive safety performance through the Beyond Zero Harm framework.
Provide commercial assurance and risk-based advice to support growth.
Champion continuous improvement across the business.
About
You
You are an experienced governance,
risk or compliance professional with the ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels. To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in governance, risk management and regulatory compliance within a regulated industry.
Strong understanding of legislative interpretation and regulatory change management.
Experience developing and managing risk frameworks and compliance programs.
Exposure to Executive and Board-level governance processes.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Sound commercial judgement and a practical approach to managing risk. Desirable
Degree qualifications in Business, Governance, Risk, Management or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field.
Experience within the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors. Why Join LPE?
