Full time (76 hours per fortnight)

Five weeks annual leave Free parking onsite Electric vehicle charging facilities onsite (Civic Centre)

Generous superannuation (up to 17%, conditions apply)

Salary range: $98,857 to $104,464 per annum plus super.

About This Position

Are you passionate about enhancing community safety and building community capacity? The City is seeking a motivated individual to join the Community Development & Safety Team in a key role focused on the implementation and monitoring of a range of Community Safety programs, services and events. This position oversees the Safe City program, which includes a variety of interesting and engaging programs and projects such as Safe City Community CCTV, Hot Spot Cocooning, Personal Safety Workshops, Constable Care, CCTV retrieval, and many other community-facing initiatives.

What We Are Looking For To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:



Robust knowledge of community safety principles and crime prevention, with proven experience delivering community-based initiatives

Excellent communication skills to engage with community members, stakeholders and service providers

Leadership and teamwork abilities to manage staff and volunteers

Ability to develop, implement and evaluate risk management plans

Commitment to community engagement, with the skills to assess and enhance safety programs Essential Requirements Driver's licence.

First Aid

Current Police Clearance (less than three months old).

Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.

Desirable Requirements
