Are you passionate about compliance, investigations and making a positive impact in the community? Join the Hervey Bay Regional Office - Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation and contribute to safe, fair and responsible liquor and gambling environments across Queensland.

As a Compliance Officer, you will undertake a diverse range of regulatory, compliance and investigation activities. No two days are the same. You may be analysing legislation, responding to complaints, conducting compliance inspections, engaging with industry stakeholders, or contributing to strategies that reduce harm and strengthen community confidence.

In This Role, You Will

- Investigate complaints and suspected breaches of liquor and gambling legislation.
- Conduct compliance monitoring, inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Research, interpret and apply legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide guidance and education to industry stakeholders and community members.
- Prepare reports, correspondence and recommendations to support regulatory outcomes.
- Assist with documentation required for legal and enforcement proceedings.
- Support harm minimisation initiatives across regulated industries.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

About You We are looking for someone who is curious, professional and confident in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders.

You Will Bring

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret legislation and policy.




- Experience investigating issues, assessing information and making evidence based decisions.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear, concise reports.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
