We are seeking an experienced Property/Conveyancing Lawyer with a strong background in Australian property law, specifically within the Queensland jurisdiction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions and a thorough understanding of Queensland property law, conveyancing procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end conveyancing files for residential and/or commercial property transactions in Queensland.
- Prepare and review contracts of sale, transfer documents, settlement statements, and other documentation required for Queensland property transactions.
- Conduct title searches, due diligence, and property checks to ensure compliance with QLD property laws.
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth settlements.
- Coordinate and attend settlements via PEXA or other electronic settlement platforms.
- Provide explicit advice to clients on conveyancing processes, risks, and obligations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Queensland property legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Land Title Act 1994 (QLD) and Duties Act 2001 (QLD).




- Maintain accurate file records and manage multiple matters simultaneously within strict deadlines.

Requirements

- Must hold a valid Australian legal practising qualification, with eligibility to practise in Queensland.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience handling conveyancing matters within the Australian (preferably Queensland) jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland property law, conveyancing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with PEXA and electronic conveyancing platforms is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite, fast-paced legal setting.
