MK Dee Why PTY LTD Masala Kitchen Dee Why is a vibrant Indian restaurant bringing authentic, traditional Indian cuisine to Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Our restaurant in Dee Why is a fully licensed dining venue, trading 6 days a week. We are seeking a full time Cook with the right attitude and passion for working in an Indian kitchen.

Benefits Work with well reputed restaurant full-time position Opportunity for career growth Supportive Multicultural Environment competitive salary Task & responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, with a focus on Indian cuisine, following established recipes and menu requirements. Examine foodstuffs on receipt and before service to ensure freshness and quality standards are met.

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and ensure meals are cooked and presented consistently for lunch and dinner service. Prepare dishes to accommodate special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies) where required. Follow food preparation schedules and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations. Assist in menu preparation by providing suggestions for Indian dishes and seasonal specials when required. Train and support junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures where required.

Assist with monitoring stock levels, storing ingredients correctly, and notifying management of items requiring replenishment. Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food supplies to minimise waste. Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitised kitchen, including workstations, utensils,



and equipment.

Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager and contribute to delivering quality food and excellent customer service. Qualification & experience AQF Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent relevant qualification). Minimum of 1 year of fulltime relevant commercial cooking experience.

Relevant experience preparing Indian cuisine in a full-service commercial restaurant. Demonstrated experience preparing curries, biryanis, tandoori dishes, breads, sauces and vegetarian dishes. Experience safely operating commercial cooking equipment, including a tandoor.
