Corporate Governance Coordinator
About APCO The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) is Australia’s co-regulator for packaging and a not-for-profit organisation driving the development of a circular economy for packaging.
We are a dynamic, ambitious organisation, working at the intersection of industry, government, and community, helping to shape sustainable packaging outcomes that matter. We’re at an exciting stage of growth, and we take our governance seriously as the foundation that makes it possible.
Our small but highly effective Governance team sits at a critical junction, collaborating with the Board and executive leadership to make sure we operate with integrity and purpose. This is a rewarding chance for someone looking for meaningful work in an organisation that moves quickly and thinks carefully.
The opportunity
This role is part-time (4 days per week) for a fixed-term 18-month contract and is the operational backbone of the Governance team. You’ll work closely with the Corporate Governance Manager to keep our governance systems running smoothly and continually improving them. That means owning our planning tools, records, registers, and assurance processes, and actively contributing to how we develop and embed better governance practice across the organisation.
This isn’t a passive coordination role. We’re looking for someone who spots a gap, thinks through the fix, and gets it done. Your work spans across a wide range of stakeholders, from the Board, executive team and senior leadership, so the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in different contexts matters as much as the technical side.
