This is a hands-on, high-impact technician role where you’ll work across a diverse range of cranes and heavy lifting equipment, supporting three major customers across NSW. You’ll be part of a skilled team delivering everything from advanced diagnostics and emergency breakdown response through to major repairs, upgrades, and modernisation projects. What You’ll Be Doing Inspecting, servicing, and maintaining cranes across multiple makes and models
Responding to breakdowns and delivering fast, effective emergency repairs
Carrying out preventive, corrective, retrofit, installation, and commissioning work
Diagnosing complex faults and delivering safe, practical engineering solutions
Leading and supporting major repair and modernisation projects on site
Preparing quotes and recommendations for significant repairs and upgrades
Working closely with customers to provide clear updates and service excellence
Mentoring and supporting junior technicians and contributing to team capability
Managing job documentation, safety reporting, and daily service reviews
Safety & Standards You’ll be part of a strong safety-first culture, working in line with ISO 14001 & 45001 standards and leading best-practice WHS, environmental, and quality processes on every job.
What You Bring
Strong electrical or mechanical trade background (cranes or heavy equipment highly regarded)
Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and work independently
Strong customer focus and communication skills
Experience or interest in large-scale industrial service and repair work
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Qualifications Electrical Licence or Mechanical Trade Certificate (essential)
Current and valid Driver Licence
Be willing to travel for the job when required Working at Heights competency
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket preferred
Solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards
Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
In-depth knowledge of Konecranes and Demag service products and field modernisation solutions highly regarded
Experience leading small teams on larger projects beneficial Additional Information Base hourly rate of $60 p/h - $70p/h (depending on experience) Fully maintained company vehicle Career progression and training provided
Overtime opportunities
Time and a half for first 2 hours
Double time after 2 hours (Mon-Sat)
