We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security / Operational Tech Architect to represent our organisation and take technical ownership of securing complex Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
In this role, you will bridge traditional enterprise IT security and industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA). You will be instrumental in designing risk mitigation frameworks, zero-trust architectures, and network segmentation strategies to protect critical operational assets from emerging cyber threats.
? Visa & Sponsorship OptionsAs the employer of record, we provide visa pathways for qualified security engineering talent deployed to our clients:
- 482 On-Hire Sponsorship Transfers: Fully supported for qualified candidates currently in Australia on an existing 482 visa looking to transfer sponsorship to work with our clients.
- New 482 Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates with the requisite commercial experience and technical skills.
- Onshore Applicants: Open to onshore candidates seeking reliable enterprise client engagement.
Core Responsibilities
- OT Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for OT, ICS, and SCADA environments in alignment with Purdue Model standards and IEC 62443.
- IT/OT Convergence & • Segmentation:
Architect robust network segmentation, firewalls, and zero-trust perimeter controls between enterprise IT networks and operational site networks.
- Threat & • Risk Assessment:
Perform cyber threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk reviews across industrial assets, PLCs, DCS, and connected IoT devices.
- Incident Response & • Monitoring:
Integrate OT telemetry into Enterprise SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) for real-time visibility, threat detection, and response.
- Governance & • Compliance:
Drive compliance against critical infrastructure frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-82, AESCSF, Essential Eight).
- Client Engagement & • Advisory:
Partner with client engineering leads, site directors, and CISO teams to align cybersecurity investments with operational resilience.
Selection Criteria
- OT/ICS Mastery: Proven track record designing and securing industrial control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS) and OT networks using IEC 62443 and NIST frameworks.
- Cyber Security Architecture: Deep understanding of enterprise security concepts, network segmentation, firewalls, IAM, public key infrastructure (PKI), and zero-trust design.
- Risk & Governance: Strong background conducting risk assessments and ensuring regulatory compliance across critical infrastructure sectors.
- Technical Skills: Experience with OT security monitoring platforms (e.g., Dragos, Claroty, Nozomi Networks) and enterprise SIEM integrations.
- Location Requirements: Currently residing in Australia with valid work rights or eligibility for a 482 visa sponsorship transfer.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Industry certifications such as GICSP, GRID, CISM, CISSP, or SABSA.
