Role Description The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) will support data-driven decision-making by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data related to club operations, performance, and fan engagement. Day-to-day tasks include preparing regular reports and dashboards, assisting in building basic data models, and interpreting trends to provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
The role will also involve collaborating with colleagues to clarify requirements, documenting methodologies, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems. This is a part-time role based in Melbourne, VIC, structured as a hybrid position, with work split between in office presence and remote work from home.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities for examining datasets and identifying trends.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Statistics to support quantitative analysis and interpretation of results.
- Candidates should possess basic Data Modeling skills to help structure data for reporting and insight generation.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial.
- Relevant tertiary studies or qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field are preferred.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and adapt to evolving priorities is important.
- An interest in sports analytics or experience within a sports or entertainment context is an advantage.
