Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Moon Stone is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources to support business reporting and decision-making.

The Data

Analyst will assist in building basic dashboards and reports, performing exploratory data analysis, and generating insights under the guidance of more senior team members. Day-to-day tasks include supporting ad hoc data requests, documenting analytical processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify data needs and present findings in a clear and accessible way.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics abilities suitable for entry-level work.
- Basic understanding of Statistics and its application in interpreting data and validating findings.
- Exposure to Data Modeling concepts,



including organizing data structures for reporting and analysis.
- Transparent and professional Communication skills to explain results and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary studies or training in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Familiarity with common analytics tools or languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau) is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, curiosity about data, and willingness to learn in a structured, supportive environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing time and tasks across on-site and remote work.
