Dental Receptionist – Maternity Leave Cover

The TLC Dentist is looking for a friendly, organised and experienced Dental Receptionist to join our close-knit team for a 12-month maternity leave position commencing November 2026.

We are a busy, modern 2-chair dental practice in Earlwood, Sydney, with a strong focus on providing excellent patient care in a warm, welcoming and professional environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 12-month maternity leave contract, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play an significant role in creating a positive experience from the moment they contact the practice.

You’ll also be responsible for keeping our front desk and appointment books running smoothly, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a busy dental environment.

Your responsibilities will include

- Greeting patients and creating a warm and skilled first impression
- Answering phone calls, emails and patient enquiries
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments
- Managing the appointment book efficiently
- Helping maintain productive and well-organised clinician books
- Processing payments and health fund claims
- Managing recalls and appointment confirmations
- Following up patients regarding appointments and planned treatment
- General reception and administrative duties
- Communicating closely with our dentists, clinicians and dental assistants
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey

About You

We’re looking for someone who:




- Has previous dental reception experience
- Is friendly, confident and genuinely enjoys interacting with patients
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is highly organised with robust attention to detail
- Is confident managing a busy dental appointment book
- Can multitask and remain calm when the practice gets busy
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Takes initiative and doesn't need to be constantly directed
- Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
- Takes pride in creating a great experience for patients

About The TLC Dentist

The TLC Dentist is a busy 2-chair dental practice located in Earlwood, Sydney. We have a friendly and supportive team and pride ourselves on providing personalised dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

We’re looking for someone who will fit naturally into our team, take ownership of the reception role and genuinely care about our patients and their experience with the practice.

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm

Employment: Full-time, fixed-term contract

There may be the possibility of ongoing employment at the completion of the 12-month contract, depending on the needs of the practice.
