$40 – $45 per hour + super | Permanent Full-Time | Carole Park Join a well-established manufacturing business with 40+ years of industry experience Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer experiencing a period of stable growth and is looking for an experienced Design Drafter / Structural Draftsperson to join their team in Carole Park. Working closely with construction and manufacturing clients across South East Queensland, you’ll be responsible for interpreting architectural, structural and engineering documentation and producing accurate shop drawings for approval and manufacture.

- Produce detailed shop drawings for client approval and manufacturing
- Interpret structural, architectural and engineering drawings and documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high degree of autonomy
- Occasionally assist with site surveys
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure drawings translate effectively into production
- Identify opportunities to improve drafting and manufacturing processes
About You We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, detail-focused and confident working independently.
You Will Ideally Have
- Strong AutoCAD skills and be a confident user
- Previous experience in structural drafting, sheet metal drafting or manufacturing
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering documentation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate drawings
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Good general computer skills and experience with file management/sharing
- An understanding of Australian building codes and standards
Highly Regarded Experience The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Sheet metal drafting
- Laser cutting and/or CNC punching
- Manufacturing environments
- Site surveying
- Advance Steel
- SigmaNEST / Nisshinbo
- Experience working with structural or architectural documentation
- White Card
