We are seeking an experienced Director, Global Risk & Compliance to manage New Forests' global enterprise risk and compliance function. Reporting to the General Counsel and managing a team of 3, this leadership role provides the opportunity to oversee and shape risk and compliance strategy across a growing international business operating in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Africa and Southeast Asia.
This is a part-time role (24 hours per week, versatile) which will partner closely with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and regional leaders to strengthen risk management and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading New Forests' global enterprise risk and compliance strategy.
- Overseeing enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance and operational resilience frameworks.
- Advising the Board and Executive Leadership Team on strategic and emerging risks.
- Driving governance maturity and continuous improvement across multiple jurisdictions.
- Supporting strategic initiatives, business growth opportunities and new investment activities through commercially pragmatic risk advice.
- Leading and developing a high-performing global Risk & Compliance team of 3.
- Building strong relationships with regulators, auditors, investors and other external stakeholders.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications, experience, and strengths:
- Extensive experience leading enterprise risk, governance and/or compliance functions.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, governance and regulatory frameworks within financial services or investment management.
- Experience advising Boards and Executive Committees on strategic risk matters.
- A track record of leading governance transformation and organisational change.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Comfort in working flexibly on occasion to support meetings and stakeholder engagement across different time zones.
- The ability to balance robust governance with commercial outcomes in a global environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are required, with postgraduate and professional governance, risk, compliance or legal qualifications highly regarded.
