The Role An opportunity has become available for a Director (Patient Safety and Quality Improvement) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Lead and engage high level stakeholder engagement at local and state level

Provide authoritative counsel to the Executive, Senior Managers, Executive Safety and Quality Committee, Board Safety and Quality Committee

Collaborate with the Clinical Governance Service Senior Leadership team

Provide strategic direction and over the Clinical Incident Management program

About you To be successful in this position you will require:

Qualification in relevant health practitioner discipline: Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology (as per the attached role description)

Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia or relevant registration

Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B

Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required

Driver Licence

Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $161,540 - $167,217 per annum
