The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Driller to join our team in Moranbah, QLD. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate drilling operations to support our quarrying and mining activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of drilling machinery.
- Perform pattern tying and marking by assisting in tying patterns to plan and accurately marking drill patterns.
- Monitor and report on drilling progress and any equipment issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including hazard identification and risk management.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and production data.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Driller in a quarry, mining, or similar environment.
- Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as a Drilling Operations Certificate (desirable).
- Licenses: Current HR Driver's Licence (desirable).
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and implement drill plans.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a mandatory Drug & Alcohol Screen and medical requirements.
