We’re seeking an experienced Driver Trainer & Assessor
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused professional with heavy vehicle experience to join a growing, well-established organisation.
The Role
- Based in the Perth office, you will be responsible for the seamless new employee training.
- Assess, onboard and train heavy vehicle drivers.
- Provide new employees with an outline of organisational history, systems, policies and procedures.
- Deliver training programs, toolbox sessions and practical coaching.
- Conduct inductions and VOC's
- Develop and maintain training materials and competency assessments.
- Partner with Operations to identify training needs and improve driver capability.
- Promote a solid safety culture, teamwork and continuous improvement across the business.
Criteria
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification, with experience in training and assessing the competence of heavy vehicle operators
- Current MC License with heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Strong understanding of transport operations and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with a passion for developing people.
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle legislation, fatigue management and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently while building solid relationships across the business.
