We are seeking a Degree qualified, Early Childhood Teacher to overseeing the education and care of preschool children aged 3-5 years by delivering an innovative and culturally sensitive program that supports their overall development. You’ll support the Kinder teacher with their non contact time, maintain room routines and engage children in learning. Working with your colleagues, you’ll undertake planning and observations for children and complete Transition statements as required with the teacher.

You’ll work in a supportive team, collaborating with families to ensure each child's individual needs are met, building strong relationships with the team, children, and families.

What You'll Bring

- A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (Degree in Early Childhood) or qualifications deemed appropriate by the Australian Early Childhood Association.
- Knowledge of the Education and Care service National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Service National Law Act 2010
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mandatory Reporting requirements.
- Awareness of cultural needs of families.
- Effective communication with families, professionals, and people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

Mandatory Pre-employment Screenings/requirements (if Not Already Completed Or Provided)

- Pre-employment Medical Check
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
- Working with Children’s Check
- Current, recognised Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates, with CPR updates completed in the last 12 months.
- Mandatory Reporting certificate
- Foundation of Child Safety
- VIT registration

- A permanent part time role working 14 hours per week (at St Hellier street and Morobe street Children’s centers) including 30 minute unpaid break.




- Salary from $24,848.89 to $43,070.63 per annum dependent on experience plus super (at full time this would be $67,447 to $116,906).
