EcoFutures is growing, and we’re looking for talented ecologists who want the opportunity to shape what comes next across NSW, QLD and VIC.

We’re not simply looking to fill a position. You might be a practising ecologist who wants the freedom and support to do great technical work. You might be a recognised specialist looking for greater influence. You might want to build and lead a team or capability. Or you may already be part of a high-performing group wondering whether there’s an prospect to take the next step together.

Ecology that influences what happens next

EcoFutures is the ecology practice of the Alluvium Group. With a presence across Australia and internationally, our work spans on-ground ecology through to landscape-scale strategy, planning and policy.

We undertake flora and fauna surveys, wetland and waterway assessments, ecological monitoring, spatial analysis and ecological modelling. But collecting ecological information is only the beginning. We use that evidence to understand how landscapes function and help governments and organisations decide what to protect, where to invest and how landscapes should be managed into the future.

Our ambition is to play a bigger role in those decisions. We want to help our clients look beyond the immediate project, think about the future and develop policy, strategy and investment priorities grounded in the best available science. We don’t want ecology to end with identifying what is there and documenting the impacts. We want ecology to influence what happens next.

Being part of the Alluvium Group makes that possible. Our ecologists work alongside specialists in water, landscapes, climate, economics,



engineering and social science—creating opportunities to take ecological thinking beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and influence bigger decisions.
