Electrical Engineer | Gladstone | Full Time

About the Company

Our client is a growing engineering consultancy delivering electrical engineering solutions across industrial, mining, utilities, water, ports and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. They pride themselves on developing practical engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems and working closely with experienced professionals on a diverse range of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career Electrical Engineer looking to broaden their technical capability while gaining exposure to all stages of the engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through to site investigations, commissioning and project delivery.

The Role

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to a variety of electrical engineering projects while progressively taking ownership of design calculations, technical documentation, site investigations and client support. You'll gain valuable exposure to both office-based design and practical site work, developing the skills and judgement required to become a well-rounded consulting engineer.

Key Responsibilities

- Design HV and LV electrical power systems and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare single line diagrams, schematics, layouts and engineering documentation.
- Complete electrical calculations including cable sizing, fault levels, protection and earthing studies.
- Undertake site inspections, investigations and condition assessments.
- Assist with equipment selection, technical evaluations and vendor coordination.
- Support construction, testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and contractors.




- Produce high-quality engineering documentation in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling and delivery.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 0 - 6 years' experience.
- Exposure to industrial, mining, utilities, water, ports or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A proactive attitude and genuine desire to continue learning.
- Australian working rights and a current driver's licence.

Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design software, Python, automation or data analysis will be highly regarded but is not essential.
