The Role An Electrical Project Manager in Australia is responsible for the full lifecycle of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects, including design, procurement, installation, and final handover.

The role requires project leadership, technical expertise in systems and standards, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance oversight across safety, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee project management from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead teams and coordinate with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth execution.
- Attend design meetings and provide expert input on system design, standards, and compliance.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, Electrical Codes, and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client and builder relationships for customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Implement cost-effective solutions while safeguarding project integrity and quality.
- Manage procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project risk.




- Monitor project progress, document variations, and proactively resolve issues.
- Conduct inspections and audits to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager working on Design & Construct projects in commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
- Deep knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant electrical codes.
- Technical expertise in electrical design, construction drawings, and system optimization.
- Familiarity with Data, Communications, ICN Networks, Security, Automation, and AV systems.
- Project management skills, proficiency in design and management software (such as SimPRO, MS Office).
- Leadership, team management, and solid communication abilities for multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Problem-solving, cost estimation, tendering, and contract negotiation skills.
- Understanding and experience in electrical safety, WHS compliance, industrial relations, and dispute resolution procedures.

This role is suited for professionals with strong engineering backgrounds, advanced leadership, and proven project delivery success in the electrical construction industry.

Salary

$110,000 to $170,000 + Super + Company Car (all depending on experience)
