Maintenance Electrician – Rotating Roster

Keep the machines running. Fix the problems. Make an impact.

If you’re the kind of electrician who enjoys getting hands-on, solving complex problems and keeping a busy production line moving, this could be the role for you.

At Patties Food Group, we’re behind some of Australia’s most iconic food brands, including Four’N Twenty, Patties, Herbert Adams and Nanna’s.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Electrician who knows their way around industrial equipment, enjoys a challenge and takes pride in keeping things running at their best.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Electrical Team Leader, you’ll be a key player in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be troubleshooting machinery, responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance and looking for smarter ways to keep our equipment performing.

You won’t be stuck doing the same thing every roster. There’s plenty of variety, plenty to troubleshoot and plenty of opportunity to put your skills to work.

What You'll Get Stuck Into

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across complex industrial machinery, control panels and wiring systems.
- Keep production moving by responding to breakdowns quickly and finding practical, effective solutions.
- Carry out preventative and routine maintenance to keep equipment operating reliably.
- Install, maintain and upgrade electrical systems, including motors, control circuits, lighting and distribution boards.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes and plant performance.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections and maintenance activities.

- Work safely and ensure all electrical work meets relevant standards, legislation and WHS requirements.

About You You’re a qualified electrician, ideally with factory work experience who likes to get things done. You enjoy the challenge of tracking down a fault, working out what’s gone wrong and getting equipment back up and running. You’re practical, mechanically minded and comfortable working independently while still being part of a solid team.

You'll Bring

- A trade qualification as an Electrician and current electrical licence.
- Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience with food, FMCG, manufacturing or pharmaceutical equipment is highly regarded.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with both breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm when things don't go to plan.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Experience with maintenance management systems such as MEX.
- A strong commitment to safety and WHS requirements.
- A willingness to take ownership and see a problem through to the end.

What makes this role different? If you enjoy machines, fixing things, fault-finding and having a real impact, you’ll feel right at home here.

You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of industrial equipment and electrical systems, tackle genuine challenges and use your trade skills every shift.

When something stops working, you're the person who figures out why — and gets it moving again.
