AutoTest is Australian Made and Owned manufacturer, producing high quality instrumentation for the automotive roadworthy equipment manufacture in Australia. As a leader in the industry we are seeking to fill a position in the Production Assembly and Production Testing area.

Suitable candidates should preferably have experience in the following areas:

1. Experience with Assembly of Electronic Instruments.

2. Calibration and measurement Technologies.

3. Ability to read Schematics and PCB files.

4. Experience in hand soldering of PCBs.

5. PCB Soldering skills of SMD components down to 0402, BGA, QFP, and other small pitch packages

6. Electronics and Mechanical parts recognition based on Product Bill of Materials.

7. Positive Documentation and Communication skills.

Other Skills Requirements
- Excellent Spoken and Written English is essential.

- Familiarity with electronics and electronic equipment.

- Be able to work with Hand tools and power tools in the assembly and disassembly of equipment.

- Follow and document test procedures to maintain and ensure Quality assurance.

- Be able to maintain a clean and organised workspace.





- Electronics Technician or Electronics Assembly Experience are preferred.

- Experience with MS Office applications - Word, Excel and Outlook

- Self-motivated, Practical Problem Solver.

Your duties will include
- Carry out repair and preventative maintenance, service actions and other routine tasks according to customer requests and contract obligations
- Ensure high standard of service, skill, ability with current products, and efficiency through training
- Work with controller & dispatcher to ensure efficient scheduling of works

TAFE Course or Diploma in Electronics or associated discipline is essential, and certification in relevant technologies would be advantageous.

Knowledge of Automotive instrumentation would be highly regarded, along with experience in a similar role.

Experience with the repair and calibration of Scientific and other electronic measurement systems is desirable.

Current driver’s licence, is an advantage.

The office is close to the tram and train, has free on street parking.
