Engineering Manager | Perth, WA | Confidential Client

Keystone People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client, an established Western Australian manufacturer of engineered products, for an Engineering Manager to lead their multidisciplinary engineering team.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You'll lead a team spanning mechanical, electronic, firmware and test engineering, owning technical execution, architecture and delivery while partnering closely with Product Management on strategy and specifications. You'll stay close enough to the work to lead design reviews and get hands-on with testing when the team needs it, not just direct from a distance.

What you'll do:

- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team through the full product development lifecycle, concept through to production
- Own architecture decisions, design reviews and technical direction
- Manage engineering budget and resourcing
- Partner with Product Management, Quality and Operations to align engineering delivery with business goals




- Navigate stakeholder relationships and resolve competing priorities across a small, quick-moving team

What you'll bring:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience
- A strong track record in R&D;, product development and hardware engineering leadership; software or robotics exposure is a plus
- Proven experience taking a technically complex product from concept through to launch
- Direct experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electronic, firmware, test)
- Budget management experience
- Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills

Nice to have:

- Exposure to technical marketing (market needs analysis, competitive positioning)
