Sigra Pty Ltd is an engineering company that has spent over three decades solving complex ground-related problems in mining, civil, and petroleum projects. The company designs and manufactures most of its field measurement systems and laboratory equipment in-house, supported by advanced analysis techniques and proprietary software. Sigra provides an integrated chain of measurement, analysis, and design, delivering tailored solutions that go beyond standard requirements.

Its teams conduct field testing, install long-term monitoring systems, and operate a laboratory focused on rock mechanics, gas measurement in coals and shales, and drilling fluids and grout properties. Sigra’s cross-disciplinary engineering workforce offers wide-ranging design and consulting capabilities from its operations in Australia.

We are looking for an Engineering Technician with a strong background in electronics and mechanical skills. The successful applicant must be able to work confidently with electronic assemblies,



including soldering and SMD components. They also need to be able to troubleshoot. The position will also require the assembly and maintenance of small-diameter valve and tubing control systems. Computer skills are essential.

Typical tasks will be the assembly and maintenance of laboratory control systems and field equipment. The work environment is the laboratory and workshop in Acacia Ridge with some forays into the field.

No requirement for formal qualifications.

Versatility is a key requirement. You will need to be well-motivated, ready, and willing to be hands-on in all situations.
