Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
An exciting opportunity for Enrolled Nurses to join the team on the Surgical (Barry Collins) Ward at Hawkesbury Hospital. This role will be committed to delivering safe, person-centred care in partnership with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team. In this position,
you will provide care activities in accordance with established nursing care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, working within your scope of practice to meet service needs.
The successful incumbent will contribute to the collection of accurate health information and ensure timely, thorough documentation in line with organisational requirements. Key to your success is strong communication skills as you will engage effectively with patients and colleagues, adhering to professional standards and protocols to support high-quality patient care.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse Division 2 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in acute nursing.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills including written and verbal.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening and night shifts 7 days rotating rosters.
