Company Description Northern Private Hospital is a 70-bed surgical and medical hospital located in New Epping, 22km from Melbourne’s CBD. Opened in February 2024, Northern Private Hospital facilities include 4 operating theatres, cardiac cathertisation laboratory, day chemotherapy, sleep study unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology. The Northern Private is also directly linked to Northern Public Hospital.

Northern Private Hospital is now hiring!

Join our dedicated clinical team at Northern Private Hospital as an IV Qualified Enrolled Nurse on a part-time basis within our Mixed Surgical Ward.

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients across a range of surgical specialties. You will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Nurse Unit Managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care throughout their hospital journey.

About You You are a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with experience in a surgical or acute care environment. You have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

You are confident working within your scope of practice, demonstrate sound clinical judgement and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You are adaptable and comfortable caring for patients with a variety of surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care needs of patients in collaboration with the nursing team.
- Provide a high standard of nursing care to patients within the Mixed Surgical Ward.
- Check,



prepare and administer medications in accordance with relevant state legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
- Provide IV medication administration within your scope of practice and demonstrated competencies.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate Registered Nurse or medical team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Assist with the delivery of individualised patient care and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Nurse Unit Managers and the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education, support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention and high standards of clinical practice.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

You Will Also Bring

- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
- IV medication administration competency and relevant qualification/endorsement.
- Previous experience in a surgical or acute care environment is highly regarded.
- Experience working with a range of surgical patients is desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment, observation and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality and patient-centred care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, professional standards and organisational policies.
- A willingness to undertake ongoing education and professional development.

Additional Information
