Role Description This full-time remote role as an Entry Level Software Developer / Junior Developer / Software Developer at Equipo de Derecho Civil focuses on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and web-based systems. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, participating in code reviews, and assisting in debugging and resolving technical issues under the guidance of more experienced developers. The role involves collaborating with team members to implement back-end features, integrate APIs, and ensure system reliability and performance.

The developer will also help document technical solutions, follow established development standards, and participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint reviews.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, including understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software lifecycle concepts.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),



with experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Basic experience or academic exposure to Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Ability to learn recent technologies quickly, follow coding best practices, and apply problem-solving skills to technical challenges.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote team environment and receive constructive feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic understanding of agile or iterative development methodologies.
- Interest in legal-tech or technology solutions that support civil law practice is a plus, along with any internship or project experience in web or application development.
