HunterGatherer Recruitment is partnering with a leading global engineering firm to find an Environmental Discipline Lead for their Brisbane infrastructure practice.

This is a strategic team leadership role. You'll be leading the local environmental team through a secure, multi-year pipeline of work across civil transport (TMR), municipal water utilities and defence infrastructure.

It's front-end environmental leadership for major civil and public assets, working alongside a well-established team already delivering in this space.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations, workload allocation and professional development of the Brisbane environmental team
- Drive the environmental, planning and statutory approvals input on major multi-disciplinary design tenders
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA/EIS), statutory approvals strategies and environmental management plans
- Act as trusted technical advisor to key public sector clients, local authorities and government agencies, including TMR and Defence, through project design phases

About you

- Deep,



practical expertise navigating Queensland's planning and environmental regulatory frameworks
- A proven track record in environmental management for linear assets, highways, rail, water networks or defence facilities
- A background in skilled services or engineering consulting, with a solid understanding of project delivery, client relationships and team utilisation
